Amberley
is one of the picturesque show-villages of southern England and only 54 miles
from London, situated at the foot of the South Downs, close to the Arun Gap
and the Wildbrooks water meadows.
Stream Cottage is a delightful thatched cottage, believed to date back to 1587
and is widely known as it has appeared in numerous calendars, magazines, postcards
and guide books.
Like many Amberley houses it was originally a farmhouse housing a Sussex yeoman
and his family. Stream Cottage is Grade II listed as a building
of architectural and historic interest and offers spacious accommodation for
non-smokers, with modern amenities, yet retaining its old world charm and character.
We offer you a warm welcome and a very comfortable stay. |
